Bio

The incomparable Cameron Bedell has a sound unlike any other. Married to the lovely Anna Bedell, this Kansas native has taken the world by storm with his sultry tunes and inspiring lyrics. He attributes his unique style to musical geniuses such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and the legendary Michael Jackson.

Born in Springfield Missouri, Cameron lived out his childhood in Wichita Kansas, with his parents and three siblings. Cameron’s upbringing played a significant role in his artistic endeavors as a singer-songwriter. His Father, Gary Bedell, lead bassist for the 1990s Christian band The Turn, influenced his passion for music. At the age of thirteen, Cameron stumbled upon his brother’s guitar, and began his musical journey. It wasn’t long after he found himself writing lyrics to melody.

During his freshman year of high school, he began dappling in music production. Around that time, he produced his first E.P entitled “This Is Me.” The thrill of sharing his music with family and friends became instrumental in how he’d impart his personal perceptions of love and life. With guitar in hand, Cameron began performing and singing original tunes in local coffee shops to neighborhood audiences.

Cameron released his sophomore project “Faith,” during his freshman year at Butler Community College. The E.P. featured the single “Change the World,” which Butler adopted as its official anthem. With much anticipation he produced, wrote, and arranged his first solo project. ‘We are the Change’ featuring the Butler Collegiate Choir, became the prelude to Change the World. The song was sent to President Obama for his 2008 Presidential Campaign.

In the spring of 2009, Cameron graduated with an Associate of Arts and transferred to Wichita State. While attending, Mr. Bedell begun work on his second album, The Eagle Rock Sessions–rightly named for the place he produced the beginning stages of the recording. By Summer 2010, he moved to Nashville and begun course work as a Songwriting major at Belmont University. Within that time, “The Eagle Rock Sessions” was released and sold 5,000 copies nationwide and in Europe. Wasting no time, Mr. Bedell formed a funk/soul pop band with his collegiate peers known as the Skunks. The band was featured in the 2010 and 2011 Urban Pop Showcase at Belmont University as well as urban music festivals in Atlanta and Ohio. His clever lyricism gained him first prize in Mel Hambelton Ford’s 2011 Jingle Contest.

2012 anticipates to be an exciting year for the young artist. Bedell will release a long expect Concept EP entitled “Seasons” in February and will be graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Songwriting in May. Within the years to come, Cameron wishes to embark upon a publishing-artist deal as well as producing with plans to work with artist such as Neyo, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, the Civil Wars, and Justin Bieber. As a professional singer-songwriter his mission is to pour his heart and soul on paper and tape, so that every eye and every ear has a reason to believe life is worth living to the fullest.

“Hopefully, when it’s all said and done, my dash will be remembered.” –Cameron Bedell
